Coffee in Kildare – Creating Community

Oak & Oolite has a new group: Coffee in Kildare.

Coffee in Kildare is a space for connection, conversation, and having a laugh over a good cup of coffee. ☕

If you’ve been following the blog for a while you may have read that after returning to Ireland from living abroad for many years, I felt really isolated. I thought it can’t be just me that finds it tough to connect with people now. I found it harder than expected to meet people and to feel part of a community again. Oak & Oolite began as a way to change that – to create something that brings like-minded people together in a simple, natural way.

Coffee in Kildare is for anyone who enjoys coffee (or tea) and wants to connect, wherever you’re from. It is about discovering places in County Kildare, getting away from screens and creating opportunities to meet people in real life – to sit down together and feel part of something.

We will meet once a month in a café in Co. Kildare, so if you’re interested in getting out to meet new people and having a good cupán, you are welcome.

The aim is not just coffee, but community. 💚

Coffee in Kildare’s First Coffee Meet-up

The first coffee meet-up will be on Tuesday, the 7th of April at 12.30pm, in Shoda Market Café, Maynooth (W23 T2T9). I hope to see you there 🙂

Oak & Oolite is also on Instagram, helping you explore the heritage and landscapes of County Kildare through coffee, flavour, and place. Come join the journey: @coffeeinkildare
